Polymerization
Polymerization Reactions
In the recent years microwave technology became an important synthesis technique in polymer cemistry1. Free and controlles radical polymerization, polyadditions, polycondensations as well as ring opening polymerizations Fare faster than under conventional reaction processes. By variation of reaction conditions or by addition of various additives different structures can be synthesized in short time and opens a combinatoric strategy for new materials.

Many chemical reactions can be favored by microwave irradiation, resulting in faster reaction speed and higher yields.
An other advantage is safe and easy handling of the microwave units. Additionally, they provide a large flexibility in chemical reactions and processes. Automated processing allows fast optimizations of reaction conditions and a quick proof of new ideas.
