Für neue oder von Änderungen betroffene Verbraucherprodukte und gewerbliche Produkte mit physikalischen oder gesundheitsschädlichen Gefahrenmerkmalen ist die EU-Harmonisierte Produktmeldung auf Basis von Artikel 45 der CLP-Verordnung / Anhang VIII ab 1.1.2021 Pflicht.
Für Industrieprodukte gilt eine reduzierte Meldepflicht zum 1.1.2024 plus 24 h-Rufbereitschaft.
Nationale Produktmeldungen (z.B. in Deutschland nach § 28 (12) Chemikaliengesetz
Gemeldete Produkte) haben bis zum 31.12.2024 Bestandsschutz.
Die Produktmeldungen an im EWR-Raum benannte Meldestellen erfolgen im PCN-Format (Poison Center Notification) unter einem UFI-Code (Unique Formula Identifier). Der UFI ist ein 16-stelliger Alphanumerischer Code mit Zahlen und Buchstaben, generiert aus VAT+indiv. Rezepturnummer.
Der UFI ist Bestandteil des Etiketts und für Industrieprodukte des SDBs.
